Monique Walker, 47, is the Judge of the Richmond County State Court. She has two children, Carter E. Hill, 12 and McKenzie L. Hill, 11. She is also a member of the Augusta Bar Association and I am an Augusta Bar Fellow.

One word you would use to describe yourself: Committed

What quality do you most admire? Honesty

What’s your favorite food? Seafood

Dream vacation? South Africa

Favorite place to take the kids? Disney

Favorite TV show: Good Morning America

What did you want to be when you grew up?  A lawyer

Hobbies? Reading, traveling, sleeping and spending time with friends and family

Is there an important life lesson you’ve learned? Yes, don’t sweat the small stuff. Most of the stuff is small.

What would surprise people about you? I am an early bird. I rise early and I go to sleep as early as I can.

 


 

Henrietta Walker, works at the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. She has two children Charles W. Walker, Jr, 50 and Monique Walker, 47. She also volunteers at the Salvation Army, Homeless Shelter and youth programs and member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

What’s your favorite food?  Potato Salad and I really love sweets

Dream vacation? Hawaii.  I have always wanted to go there.

Favorite place to take the kids? Beach.  All of my children and grandchildren love the beach.

If you had a super power, what would it be? If I had a super power, it would be the ability to bring peace to the world.

Is there an important life lesson you’ve learned?  Hard work pays off!  I learned this lesson and many others from my mother.

Best thing about being a mom? Everything!  I love watching the kids grow up and mature

Favorite indulgence? chocolate
