Master's Rental tips...

Spring is here and pollen is in the air!! Life is hectic. School is winding down (only about another 7 weeks or so), Spring Break is just around the corner and The Master’s is on its way.

For those of you preparing your home for Master’s Rental, here are some suggestions:

1. “Stage” your home as if you are selling it. Take most of your family photos down, pack away all of your valuable china, antiques, and any other times you don’t want broken or mis-handled.

Staying in the "green" all year-long

Everybody’s thinking “green” because of St. Patrick’s Day. Green has always been my favorite color – especially emerald green. I once heard that for those people who favor the color green, they will be rich one day. I surely hope that becomes true in my case!

But, as a Professional Organizer, I tend to think of other “green” topics. As I help people rid their lives of clutter, the “green” in the forefront of my mind is the one that helps us recycle old items and helps preserve our beautiful earth.

The Case of the Yellow Spots

Okay so I was trying to think of a good topic to write about for today and it hit me – in the nose to be exact! I’ve been doing some Spring Cleaning this past weekend. This included rearranging my daughters’ rooms. My oldest daughter is a pre-teen who wears tennis shoes almost daily. For quite a while now her room has had an odor that I thought was coming from her smelly shoes. We’ve sprayed her shoes with Lysol, washed them, let them sit outside to air out – tried whatever we could to get rid of the odor.

Spring Cleaning Closet Crusade

I can’t believe Winter is almost over. I didn’t really get a chance to wear my cute boots with the high heels that much. We have had a rather mild winter and I’m not complaining about that because I am not a fan of cold weather. But, I am a clothes fanatic. I love cute shoes and clothes that are worn during the Fall and Winter. Unfortunately, my closet is not that big and at times seems to be bursting at the seams in an effort to contain all of my stuff.
