Master's Rental tips...

Spring is here and pollen is in the air!! Life is hectic. School is winding down (only about another 7 weeks or so), Spring Break is just around the corner and The Master’s is on its way.

For those of you preparing your home for Master’s Rental, here are some suggestions:

1. “Stage” your home as if you are selling it. Take most of your family photos down, pack away all of your valuable china, antiques, and any other times you don’t want broken or mis-handled. 2. If you have a lot of paper clutter in your home and just need to “stash” it until you can deal with it, purchase large Rubbermaid containers that are opaque and dark in color. Put your papers in the containers, put a top on it and store the containers in your garage. Just make a promise to yourself to conquer that paper clutter when you return to your home. Don’t leave it out there for a year. 3. Now is a great time to clean out your closets and take clothes you don’t wear anymore to the Salvation Army or to the Consignment shops. You don’t want a lot of clothes hanging in your closets when people are renting your house. 4. Give your home curb appeal. Trim the hedges, fertilize your lawn, plant some flowers. Make your home look inviting from the outside as well as on the inside.
