Augusta Family Magazine is published 10 times a year by Augusta Magazine. Our mission is to enrich families by providing information and inspiration in these areas: your spirit, your relationships, family life and activities, your home, juggling work and family and enjoying your extended family and friends. Our staff consists of mothers and fathers who would love to hear your thoughts and ideas for our award-winning publication.

Kate has worked for more than 20 years in the print media business. She began her career as a reporter and later moved in to marketing and sales management. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a N.C. transplant, she has enjoyed making the Augusta area her home. She is privileged to be a part of the vision and development of Augusta Family Magazine, which has become the premier parenting publication in the CSRA. Kate is committed to local content and the idea of providing readers with information and resources for parenting support past the baby and toddler years. The local content, along with the wide range of quality information and resources in each issue, makes it an ideal place for businesses and organizations to advertise to parents, especially moms. As we move in to the electronic realm of information delivery, the website aims to create a community for parents to share ideas and solutions. Kate has won numerous recognitions for writing and advertising efforts, including the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal Award for outstanding contributions in the field of advertising. Kate and her husband live in Augusta with their 9 year old son, English Cocker spaniel and calico cat.

Karin has served as editor of Augusta Family Magazine since 2005 and as the cooking columnist for The Augusta Chronicle since 1998. She has lived in the Augusta area since 1985, and has worked in journalism, marketing and public relations, as well as recipe development and culinary instruction. As a professional writer, community volunteer, wife and mother of two teenagers, Karin knows the demands of today's hectic family lifestyles. She understands the daily challenges working families face and seeks to offer practical solutions through her work at both Family and The Chronicle. Karin enjoys exploring topics that are important to families including family health, relationships, activities and juggling work and home. She enjoys cooking, interior decorating and reading inspirational and self-help books.

Adriene has lived in the CRSA all her life, growing up in Aiken, and living in Richmond and Columbia counties. She brings to her staff and clients over twenty years of advertising experience in the Aiken-Augusta area. As a consultant to her clients, her knowledge of television, radio and print help her to provide strong advertising campaigns that work with other media to bring customers through the door and create top of mind awareness for their business. Adriene is a winner of American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal Award for outstanding contributions in the field of advertising. Adriene lives in Columbia County with her husband of 22 years, Michael Goldman, and her 12 year old son Colin. She is involved in activities at Colin’s school, Augusta Prep, and is a member of Warren Baptist Church.

Miles Anderson came to serve as Art Director and Web Developer for Augusta Family Magazine in 2010 bringing newsprint and digital media experience from the Augusta Chronicle. He moved back to his hometown of Appling, GA in 2002 after earning a BFA from the Betty Foy Sanders School of Art at Georgia Southern University. He is a member of the Greater Augusta Arts Council and is actively involved in both local artist and musical communities. Miles currently lives in Augusta with his 5-year-old-daughter and their cat Bucho Rex.
